ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is a 2000-year-old Chinese treatment in which needles are inserted into acupuncture points. Acute and chronic pain is often treated with acupuncture, including joints, muscle, arthritic, shoulder, neck, low back, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and migraine and tension headaches.

SHOCKWAVE

Shockwaves are mechanical pressure waves that work on tissue and are used to treat musculoskeletal problems. Originally indicated for the non-invasive disintegration of kidney stones, shockwave therapy has since also been used successfully in orthopaedics.

LASER

Low-level laser therapy is the application of red and near-infrared light over injuries or wounds to improve soft tissue healing and relieve both acute and chronic pain. Low-level therapy uses cold (sub-thermal) laser light energy to direct bio-stimulative light energy to the body's cells without injuring or damaging them in any way.

KINESIO TAPING

Kinesio Taping is a therapeutic taping technique that gives support and stability without limiting movement. Kinesio Tape is elastic in nature and can stretch 30% beyond its original length. Clinically, it is applied to muscles to help reduce pain and inflammation, relax overactive muscles or to support movement.

DR. JEFFREY TULING

Jeff completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Waterloo and graduated cum laude with his Doctor of Chiropractic from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto. His commitment to providing comprehensive treatment led to the completion of his post-graduate Clinical Sciences Fellowship Program which involved lecturing/teaching and research, and clinical rotations at the Chedoke-McMaster and Sunnybrook hospitals.

Jeff's patients include the elderly, children and babies, expectant mothers, and elite performers and athletes, and he experiences a great deal of personal and professional satisfaction hearing about patients' improved functioning at work and home, and watching patients "killing" it on the Stratford Festival stage.

Both Stratford & Stonetown Health and Wellness Centres continue to build upon their strong reputation as evidence-based, patient-centered and results-oriented clinics and are Stratford and St. Mary's trusted and reliable choice for chiropractic, acupuncture, rehabilitative physical therapy and soft tissue injury management.
