For your first massage, the Massage Therapist will obtain a thorough health history and assess any physical limitations you may have. Then they will discuss what areas of the body to be treated and the types of treatment that would be most beneficial.
Most Extended Health care plans have Registered Massage Therapy coverage. Some of the health plans require a physicians referral. Check with your employer as to what amount is allotted for Massage Therapy and whether a referral is necessary. Most health plans require that massage treatments are given by a Registered Massage Therapist in order to use the coverage. All of our providers at the Stratford location are Registered Massage Therapists. You will be issued a receipt for any treatments provided that you submit for your benefits.
