Samantha Mount, B.F.A. (Dance), RMT

Registered Massage Therapist.
Clinic Co-Director of Stratford Health and Wellness Centre

Originally from Trinidad, Samantha came to Canada to pursue her Bachelor in Fine Arts (Dance) at Ryerson University, Toronto.  A lifetime in dance and resultant injuries sparked an interest in the field of massage therapy. She subsequently attended Elmcrest College in Toronto where she graduated with honours as an RMT. After graduation she practiced at the Elmwood Spa in Toronto before moving to Stratford.

Samantha's goal with every patient is to help them recover safely and quickly.  She believes in empowering clients with positive lifestyle changes and offers remedial exercises to prevent future flare ups to help her clients maintain healthy lives. She utilizes a broad range of massage techniques in her practice including: Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point release, hydrotherapy, myofascial release, pregnancy massage and lymphatic drainage. Most recently she has completed courses in cupping and IASTM technique, or Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization.

With her background in dance and theatre, Samantha brings a strong movement based perspective to the office, and enjoys working in a multidisciplinary setting. She believes in collaboration with other health practitioners for a more holistic approach to health care.

Samantha is a member and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of Ontario (RMTAO).
